Local Office Administrator & Campaigns Coordinator

Position Summary

CAIR Action is seeking a strategic, organized, and community-connected Local Office Administrator & Campaigns Coordinator to lead operations and grassroots campaigns in St. Louis, Missouri. As the first staff member in this important region, you will represent CAIR Action locally—building infrastructure, managing advocacy efforts, and strengthening the political power of the Muslim community.

The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship-builder, campaign organizer, and systems thinker. This position offers a unique opportunity to help build a local presence from the ground up while working in close coordination with CAIR Action’s national team.

Key Responsibilities

Local Office Operations

  • Serve as the primary representative of CAIR Action in St. Louis, Missouri.
  • Manage daily office functions and maintain records, documentation, and compliance materials
  • Coordinate with national staff to implement strategic goals, local campaigns, and programming

Community Engagement & Grassroots Mobilization

  • Build and sustain relationships with locals mosques, community organizations, and grassroots leaders
  • Organize peer-to-peer engagement, educational forums, roundtables, and GOTV events
  • Recruit and manage volunteers for canvassing, phone/text banking, and civic engagement initiatives

Campaign Oversight

  • Lead local implementation of voter outreach and issue-based advocacy campaigns
  • Work with national staff to align local campaign tactics with broader organizational strategies
  • Track and report metrics related to outreach, turnout, and impact
  • Serve as the local lead on candidate forums, endorsement efforts, and election visibility campaigns

Fundraising & Events

  • Support planning and execution of community events and fundraising initiatives
  • Identify prospective donors in the St. Louis area and assist with cultivation strategies
  • Align with national fundraising efforts to support CAIR Action’s sustainability and growth

Communications & Public Presence

  • Draft and disseminate local outreach materials, including emails, flyers, and social media content
  • Represent CAIR Action at events, coalition meetings, and civic gatherings
  • Coordinate closely with the communications team to ensure brand alignment and message consistency

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in nonprofit operations, community organizing, campaign management, or civic engagement
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient in digital tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM platforms
  • Deep familiarity with St. Louis’s Muslim community and local political landscape
  • Experience managing campaigns or field operations is highly desirable
  • Passion for justice, political empowerment, and advocacy work
