“Netanyahu Commands, Trump Obeys—America Pays.”
(Washington, D.C., March 18, 2025) – CAIR Action, a leading national Muslim political advocacy organization, strongly condemns Israel’s resumption of deadly airstrikes on Gaza, breaking a fragile ceasefire and causing catastrophic harm to Palestinian civilians. CAIR Action also denounces the recent U.S. airstrikes in Yemen that have resulted in significant civilian casualties. The organization sharply condemns President Donald Trump’s ongoing complicity and endorsement of aggressive military actions that directly harm American interests and violate international law.
Israel Breaks Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza
Israel’s renewed offensive has led to over 400 Palestinian deaths, including numerous women and children, and further devastating Gaza’s civilian infrastructure. This blatant breach of the ceasefire agreement demonstrates a reckless disregard for human life, further deepening the humanitarian crisis and instability in the region.
U.S. Airstrikes in Yemen
Concurrently, U.S. airstrikes targeting Houthi rebels in Yemen have resulted in significant civilian casualties, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region. These actions have intensified the suffering of Yemeni civilians and contributed to ongoing instability.
CAIR Action Executive Director Basim Elkarra stated:
“Netanyahu commands, Trump obeys—and America pays. President Trump’s unconditional support for Netanyahu’s brutal actions and his authorization of airstrikes in Yemen underscore a dangerous disregard for human rights, justice, and America’s long-term interests. Rather than prioritizing the values of human dignity and international law, Trump continues to empower violence against innocent civilians, implicating Americans in war crimes and perpetual instability”
Elkarra further emphasized:
“The genocide began under a Democratic administration and continues under a Republican one. This bipartisan complicity in the mass killing of Palestinians and the suffering of civilians in Yemen will have political consequences in the midterm elections. This is not about partisanship—it’s about accountability. The American people are waking up to the reality that their tax dollars are funding war crimes, and they will demand justice at the ballot box.”
“This destructive alliance and militaristic approach severely compromise America’s global credibility, security, and moral leadership. These policies are not ‘America First’—they directly undermine our nation’s interests, fueling resentment and violence worldwide. It’s time for American lawmakers to end this complicity, halt funding for aggressive military actions, and prioritize peace and justice.”
CAIR Action urgently calls on U.S. lawmakers to immediately halt military aid enabling Israel’s and other aggressive military actions, demand accountability for war crimes committed against civilians in Gaza and Yemen, and reaffirm America’s commitment to peace, international law, and human rights.
CAIR Action also urges Americans of all backgrounds to speak out against these injustices and advocate for a just and lasting resolution that guarantees the rights, dignity, and sovereignty of all affected populations.
