(WASHINGTON, DC – 10/18/2024) CAIR Action, a leading Muslim advocacy organization, launched a major Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiative aimed at mobilizing over 500,000 Muslim voters across five key swing states ahead of the November 2024 elections. With the stakes higher than ever, CAIR Action is committed to ensuring the Muslim community’s voice is heard loud and clear at the ballot box.
The nonpartisan GOTV campaign will focus on educating voters about the critical issues at stake, providing information on how and where to vote, and offering resources for voter protection. The five target states, which could tip the balance of the 2024 election, have sizable and growing Muslim populations with the potential to play a decisive role in local, state, and national races.
Key elements of the GOTV effort include:
- Phone banking and text banking targeting registered Muslim voters, encouraging them to vote early or on Election Day.
- In-person canvassing in key communities to provide non-partisan voter information.
- Multilingual digital outreach through social media, email, and SMS, ensuring that voters receive critical information and reminders in English, Arabic, Urdu, and other languages spoken within the Muslim community.
- Voter protection resources to help Muslims navigate and overcome any barriers to voting, including a hotline for reporting issues at polling stations.
- Partnerships with mosques and community organizations to host educational forums and early voting drives.

In 2020, Muslim voters turned out at historic levels, helping to shape the political landscape. In 2024, with key swing states hanging in the balance, CAIR Action’s GOTV initiative is dedicated to ensuring that every eligible Muslim voter has the necessary tools and resources to cast their vote and make their voices heard.
