CAIR, CAIR Action Condemn Israeli State Terrorism After Back-to-Back Bombings of Tunisia, Qatar, Lebanon and Syria While Gaza Genocide Rages

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/9/2025) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization,  and CAIR Action, one of the nation's leading 501c(4) Muslim political organizations, today condemned the Israeli government's acts of state terrorism after back-to-back bombings of Tunisia, Qatar, Lebanon and Syria.

In a statement, CAIR said:

"We strongly condemn the out-of-control Israeli government's bombings of Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon and even Qatar, all in the past few days. The Trump administration's Israel First policy is not only enabling the genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, but violence across the region. Benjamin Netanyahu is drunk on power that he has attained through the sweat of the American taxpayer, not through any skill or strength of his own, and it is long past time for our nation to stop bankrolling the Israeli government's attempts to spread chaos across the region. The genocide in Gaza must permanently, all captives and political prisoners must go free, and the blockade of humanitarian aid must end."

In a statement, Basim Elkarra, Executive Director of CAIR Action, said:

“Israel’s bombings of Qatar, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Syria are reckless escalations that endanger civilians, undermine U.S. allies, and sabotage the very ceasefire talks America claims to support. The Trump administration must immediately clarify what it knew, hold Israel accountable, and stop enabling war crimes against Palestinians and our allies in the region”
